1. Eat Red Beans
T.O.P of Big Bang as well as actress Park Shin Hye have both spoken about the wonders of red beans in helping them shed extra weight.
Red bean is rich in soluble fiber, which helps to detoxify the liver by encouraging more waste excretion from the body. In tea form, red bean contains calcium which aids the body in ridding sodium, which is a cause of fluid retention in the body.
Red bean also contains high protein content, meaning eating it will keep you fuller for longer.
2. Eat Tofu
Tofu is a food that’s extremely high in protein, hence why it is often used as a protein substitution for vegetarians and vegans. It will satisfy your hunger quickly even though it contains minimal calories.
Super Junior’s Heechul is known to have turned to a diet that consisted mainly of tofu to lose over 15 pounds in just two weeks!

3. 1000 Calories a Day
Everybody is different and thus the recommended daily intake of calories is different per individual. However, the rough ballpark for a healthy diet would be somewhere between 1600 calories and 2400 calories per day.
For some K-pop idols (or former idols) such as Uee of After School, consuming only 1000 calories a day helped her shed unwanted weight.
This type of diet is not restrictive in terms of what you eat throughout the day – you simply cannot go over 1000 calories a day.
It sounds a lot easier said than done though, as it is quite literally half of the recommended daily calorie intake.
One of the reasons why K-pop idols have such fit and toned bodies is because of the amount of dancing they do. At one stage, there were rumors that idols were dancing up to 18 hours a day!
We don’t know if this is true or not, but the vigorous dance routines that K-pop idols have to learn and practice over and over again definitely contribute to their physiques.
One way you can incorporate this into your daily routine is to set some time aside to watch YouTube practice videos and dance along with them. You can also look up local dance classes and take them a few times a week. Have fun, get fit, and lose weight all at the same time!

Many K-pop idols post about their Pilates workouts online. If you check YouTube, you will see that Blackpink’s Rose is a massive advocate for Pilates and posts about her workouts regularly.
No wonder she has such an amazing figure!
6. Do Weights Training
Weights training has long been a popular form of exercise to lose weight, and K-pop idols have regularly turned to it to shed pounds and maintain their figures.
You will notice that whilst many idols are extremely toned, not many are super muscly. This can be achieved by weights training, despite the name saying otherwise!
BTS’s Jungkook is well-known by many to be a workout bunny, and he often talks about and posts videos of himself working out. He enjoys doing weight training in between his idol activities to maintain a fit and healthy body.

9. Fruit and Vegetable Juice Detox
Going on a wholefoods diet has worked wonders for some people, but for many, it is hardly viable. Instead, many people opt to go on a “detox cleanse” instead, whereby they drink a blend of fruit and vegetables as their meal replacements a few days a week. This is notable for its quick weight loss results and increases in energy levels.
B.A.P’s Himchan caused a viral trend in South Korea when he admitted to using this as a weight-loss method. He drank his fruit and vegetable blend three times a day, for three consecutive days. Not only did he lose weight, but he also felt rejuvenated afterward as well!
10. Try Suzy’s Penguin Exercise!
Looking for a suggestion that’s inexpensive and convenient? Why not try former miss A’s Suzy’s secret tip of doing the penguin exercise anywhere, any time of the day!
Basically, all you have to do it stand somewhere where there is a little bit of space and flap your arms up and down just like a penguin. The trick is that you need to do this in quick, fast motions for it to be effective. By doing so, you’re working on toning your arms as well as your abs.
You can do this whilst watching TV, in between stretching in the morning, or even when you need a quick break from sitting on the computer all day long.
